After the pandemic in my second year, I began incorporating iterative modeling into my design progress. With access to new equipment and materials, I grew a lot my third year in skills in model making. As a result, I have developed a new love for materiality, massing development and the iterative process of design. Looking back at my growth in linear, planar and volumetric modeling, I recognize how it has supported a new skill set that will carry me far into my professional career.
Model Progression
-
Mapping out space through the path of a line.
-
Exploring the opportunities of a plane as wall, as ground, as ceiling and beyond.
-
Volumes that use the guidelines of line and plane for solid connecting spaces.
Working with the line.
